Fireside Began With a Spark

(2021–2025)

It started strong—a few young adults gathered around a fireplace, sharing stories, questions, and laughter.

No stage. No agenda. Just community.

From that spark, Fireside was born.

A Place for Honest Community

Fireside quickly became a weekly gathering for college students and young adults hungry for authentic relationships and spiritual depth. Some came because they were lonely. Others came with big questions about faith. Still others were simply curious.

Around couches, in backyards, or by the glow of a campfire, something beautiful began to take shape: honest conversations about life, friendship, and Jesus.

Strong Conversations, Strong Friendships

Generation Z is often labeled as disconnected. But Fireside proved something different: this generation is ready. Ready for strong conversations. Ready for meaningful friendships. Ready to lead with courage and faith.

More Than a Gathering

Fireside wasn’t just about weekly meet-ups. It was about discipleship—helping young adults discover their mission and step into leadership. Some began mentoring fellow students. Others found ways to live on mission on their college campuses, with their families, workplaces, and with their friends.

Why It Mattered

This season reminded DYM that God is always raising up the next generation. Fireside is more than an event—it’s a movement of young leaders learning to live out the gospel in everyday spaces.

This generation is the spiritual future of tomorrow—they’re making an impact today.  And, they’re bold and they’re ready.
